Posted on Wednesday, November 7, 2018

On November 6th, 2018, the  Samuelson-Glushko Canadian Internet Policy & Public Interest Clinic (CIPPIC) intervened before the Supreme Court of Canada in TELUS Communications Inc. v. Wellman.

CIPPIC was represented before the Supreme Court of Canada by Marina Pavlović, Associate Professor and a CLTS Faculty member, and Cynthia Khoo, one of our LLM candidates.

The intervening factum is available here.

CIPPIC's argument focuses on access to justice considerations and the differing way that consumer protection laws protect consumers and other vulnerable groups encountering standard form contracts in circumstances characterized by disparities in bargaining power.
